He continued his administrative career in District No. 60 as Deputy Superintendent and finally as Superintendent in 1992 before retiring in 1999. At the present time, Dr. Roman is the Interim Executive Director at Cesar Chavez Academy and Dolores Huerta Preparatory High School. Since retirement he has served as Interim Dean of the Pueblo School for Arts and Sciences, Interim Superintendent of Pueblo School District No. 70 and the Interim Superintendent of Hanover School District.

Dr. Roman has been married to Anna for 26 years. They have two children, Vanessa and JR.

Dr. Roman is excited about the opportunity to be of assistance at CCA and DHPH. He is fully aware of the many challenges facing the school but believes strongly that the students, parents and staff have worked hard for their schools and deserve a chance to make their schools successful once again.
