Dr. Alfredo Vargas was born and raised in Selma, California. When he was 13 years of age, he and his family moved to Mexico where he finished his schooling. In 1985 Dr. Vargas graduated from the Universidad de Guanajuato with an M.D. Soon after graduating he moved to the United States and completed an Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Nebraska from 1989 to 1992.
In December of 1993, Dr. Vargas moved to Pueblo, Colorado and started his own private practice. He ran his own practice until 2007, when he decided to close and work for Parkview Medical Center. He is currently still an employee with Parkview and enjoys his occupation greatly.
Dr. Alfredo Vargas is married to a wonderful woman he met in the State of Guanajuato Mexico. His wife of 12 years is a stay at home mother to their 5 beautiful children with ages ranging from 3 ½ to 10 years. Four of their children attend Cesar Chavez Academy. Dr. Alfredo Vargas has been a board member with the CCA Board of Directors since June of 2008. He is committed to and believes in the mission and vision of both schools.
